About our speakers

Harvey Miller, University & Career Counsellor at UWC Dilijan

Harvey is a graduate of Yale University. After graduation, he pursued a one-year urban education fellowship at a charter high school in Boston, MA. After returning to Jamaica, his home country, Harvey decided to assist with an organization that had helped him years before to apply to university in the US. Over 10 years later, he has had the joy of guiding numerous students through the admissions processes of universities around the world. Harvey's career as a university counsellor has taken him beyond the tiny island of Jamaica to China, Costa Rica (where he first joined the UWC movement), and now Armenia.

Priyanka Mahat (Nepal, UWCD’20)

Priyanka Mahat is a Nepali student completing her second year at UWC Dilijan. For the past few years, she has been an active member of her country's Model United Nations circuit and has also worked with NGOs to help uplift the rural lifestyle in Nepal. At UWCD she was the student council core member and led CASes like Women's Day Armenia and Model UN. She is enrolling into Brown University this fall and plans to pursue her long-time passion for International Relations with a focus on Human Rights and Development.
